AI Usage Policy

Overview

The WP Minute uses artificial intelligence tools as part of our content production workflow. This page explains how and where AI is used, the boundaries we maintain around its use, and our commitment to human oversight of all published content.

We believe in being transparent about these tools because our audience deserves to know how the content they consume is made.

AI Tools We Use

The following AI-assisted platforms and tools are currently part of our production workflow:

  • Descript — Used for audio and video editing, transcription, and post-production of podcast episodes.
  • Opus Clips — Used for automated short-form video clip generation from longer-form content.
  • Riverside — Used for remote recording of interviews and podcast episodes; includes AI-powered transcription features.
  • Claude (Anthropic) — Used for research assistance, content drafting, editing support, and workflow automation.
  • ChatGPT (OpenAI) — Used for research, drafting, and general writing assistance.
  • Brock — Used as part of our AI-assisted content and production workflow.

This list reflects current tools and will be updated as our workflow evolves.

How AI Is Used in Our Workflow

AI tools assist us in the following areas:

Transcription

Interviews and podcast recordings are transcribed using AI-powered tools. Transcripts may be published as companion content to audio or video. Transcripts are reviewed for accuracy before publication.

Research & Drafting

AI tools may be used to assist in gathering background information, summarizing sources, or producing initial drafts of content. All AI-assisted drafts are reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor before publication.

Editing & Post-Production

AI-powered editing tools are used to streamline audio and video post-production, including noise reduction, filler word removal, and clip selection.

Short-Form Content

AI tools may be used to identify and generate short-form video clips from longer episodes. Final clip selection is reviewed by a human team member.

What AI Does Not Do

To protect the editorial integrity of The WP Minute, we maintain the following boundaries:

  • AI does not make editorial decisions. Topics, angles, and coverage decisions are made by our human editorial team.
  • AI-generated content is not published without human review. No content produced with AI assistance goes live without being read, reviewed, and approved by a human editor.
  • AI does not replace reporting. Where content involves original reporting, interviews, or community coverage, that work is conducted by humans.
  • AI does not fabricate sources or quotes. Any quotes, statistics, or factual claims in our content are sourced from real, verifiable sources.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

AI tools can and do make mistakes. They can hallucinate facts, misattribute quotes, or produce plausible-sounding but inaccurate information. We take this seriously.

We rely on human editorial judgment to catch and correct these errors before publication. If AI-assisted content is found to contain inaccuracies after publication, it will be corrected under the same standards outlined in our [Editorial Guidelines](/editorial-guidelines).

If you believe any content on The WP Minute contains an AI-related error or inaccuracy, please contact us at [thewpminute.com/contact](https://thewpminute.com/contact).

A Note on the Evolving AI Landscape

The AI tools available to content creators are changing rapidly. We are committed to evaluating new tools thoughtfully, updating this page as our workflow changes, and maintaining the editorial standards our audience expects regardless of the tools we use.

Our use of AI is in service of producing better, faster, and more useful content for the WordPress community — not a substitute for the editorial judgment, experience, and community relationships that define The WP Minute.
