Affiliate Disclosure

Overview

From time to time, The WP Minute may include affiliate links within our content. This page explains what affiliate links are, when we use them, and how they affect — or rather, do not affect — our editorial coverage.

What Is an Affiliate Link?

An affiliate link is a tracked URL that allows a third-party company to identify that a visitor came from our website or content. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase or sign up for a service, The WP Minute may receive a small commission or referral fee from the company at no additional cost to you.

When We Use Affiliate Links

Affiliate links are used sparingly at The WP Minute. When they appear, they are typically associated with tools and services we use ourselves or have evaluated for general productivity and content production purposes — such as:

  • Podcast hosting platforms (e.g., tools used to host and distribute The WP Minute podcast)
  • General productivity software (e.g., scheduling, project management, or communication tools)
  • Creator tools and SaaS products relevant to running an independent media operation

We do not maintain active affiliate relationships with WordPress hosting companies as a general practice, and we do not allow affiliate incentives to drive editorial recommendations.

Disclosure in Content

When affiliate links are present in a piece of content, we will include a clear disclosure statement near the beginning of that content or adjacent to the link itself. You may see language such as:

> “This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase through these links, The WP Minute may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.”

We will never embed affiliate links in content without disclosure.

Affiliate Relationships Do Not Influence Editorial Coverage

The existence of an affiliate relationship with a product or service does not mean that product or service receives favorable editorial coverage. Equally, products we do not have an affiliate relationship with are not disadvantaged in our coverage.

Our editorial recommendations are based on the relevance and value of a product to our audience — not on whether a commission is attached to a referral.

If we reference a product that we have an affiliate relationship with in an editorial context (such as a tutorial, roundup, or recommendation), that relationship will be disclosed at the point of reference.
